Ateret:

The yishuv was founded in 1981 by a group of families from various cities in the central region of the country. Today there are 53 families with children of all ages (from 23 and down).

There are 5 houses that are vacant and are for sale or to rent. They are new. They have 97 sqm. on the ground floor - built and preparation for 70 sqm. on the second floor.

There are another 12 houses that are built but not connected to infastructure (water, electricity & telephone).

There are about 10 houses vacant called “ashkubiot” which are secondhand concrete wall houses which are for rent or for possible purchase. They are 64 sqm, and sell for $22000 except for 2 houses which are cheaper and are meant for building upon them.

There is one central minyan daily while every third or fourth shabbat there is an additional Sefaradi or

Taimani minyan for one of the tefilot.

There is a daily “daf yomi” and halacha shiur and twice to three times a week there is a shiur in Emunah – Jewish philosophy as part of a night Kollel and Friday kollel program under the auspise of the Rav of the Yishuv.

Educational Institutions start with a nursery for infants from 3 months to 3 years old. For the children aged 3 to 5 there is a multiple-age kindergarten.

The children of school age go to the regional school in Neve-Tzuf 10 minutes away. From 7th grade children can go to schools of their choice.

Ateret houses a musical yeshiva - high school “Kinor David” for Grades 9 to 12.

Aside from all this, there is a clinic, grocery, cultural center, library, mikve, basketball courts and a small industry zone with one workshop and one carpentry.

The main requirement for acceptance is the need to come and visit and see what we have to offer.
