About the Kersner Family, Eli

Let me indroduce ourselves. My name is Tovah and my husband's name is Bram. We have B"H 7 children and 15 Grandchildren. We made Aliyah 21 years ago from England and after 1 year in the Merkaz Klita we moved to Moshav Mattityahu as part of a "Garin" (founder members) of the very remote and unfinished Moshav. We now live in Eli and our married children are in the main living in the yeshuvim. We have two married daughters who live in Bet El, where it was also our home for ten years. Our oldest daughter lives in Dolev, a beautifull yishuv situated between Ramallah and Modiin. Our oldest son lives in Petach Tichva. Altho' he is very much a "Yeshuvnic", he married a city girl, so he's stuck with the exhaust fumes and shopping malls!!

We have 3 children all Sabras, still "at home". Our son of 21 is in the army, serving in an elite unit. Which does most of it's work in and around the Arab towns and villages in the Shomron seeking out the terrorists!

Our youngest son is 17 and learns in an excellent Yeshiva in Meron. He has to travel many kilometers back and forth most weeks, but reckons its worth it. Our youngest is 16 and she is "sorting herself out" in a school in Kedumim. Which was, by the way, the first yeshuv to be established in the Shomron.

You may think that we're a couple of old "fuddy duddies" having so many Grandchildren, but I can assure you that we are not.

We still work very hard in our own computer business, which is situated in Eli, our offfices are "at home" and we travel "thru'out" the Shomrom selling and servicing computers to private individuals, offices, yeshivas and schools whithin the Yeshuvim. Last week Bram was offered a "bullet proof" vehicle by Yeshuv Ganin to go and deliver a computer that they had ordered. He did accept the offer as Ganin is very close to Jenin, notorious for housing terrorists'. We believe our task in life is to continue as near as normal so that Arafat and his cronies don't succeed in their mission. We normally travel with anti-stone windows!!

Eli

We moved to Eli about 18 months ago from Bet El. We loved the open spaces of Eli, which is spead out over seven hills.!! From our salon windows we look out over Kfar Tapuach, the home of Rav Binyamin and Talyah Kahana, who were murdered by terrorists just over 12 months ago. We look out over to Male Lavonah, where our friend Eric and his family live. (We met Eric and his scotch cap, a long time ago!!) We look out to Ariel, Yitzar, Male Ephraim, Shilo and Shvut Rachel and last but not least Rachalim, a small Yeshuv named after a lady who was also killed by terrorist gunfire several years ago.

There are many activities in the Yeshuv of Eli, as well as a gorgeous swimming pool, a very well equiped gym, a well stocked general store, post office, health clinics etc.

We are about 45-50 minutes from Jerusalem. Even closer to the big shopping malls of Petach Tikvah.

There is a Yeshiva (Mechina) which prepares it's Talmidim for the Army. Many Betei Knesset to serve all different kinds in the community.

Eli is one of the most beautful places that I've ever been to. Where all the neat houses are perched on top of hills, with panoramic views. One feels like they are living on top of the world!

Anyone who may be interested in coming to Eli to visit, or chat are more than welcome to mail or phone to bramk@netvision.net.il or Tel: 02-9947235. Tovah's mobile: 054-947235.
